Carroll Bio

 
Tom Carroll was Rotary District 5020 Governor in 2017-18, serving the district’s 92 clubs and 4,700 Rotarians in British Columbia and Washington State. Previously he served as Charter President of the Gateway – Thurston County Club, Assistant Governor, District Council Chairman, District Conference Chairman and PNW-PETS Chairman of the Board of Directors. Tom currently serves as Assistant Rotary Coordinator for Zone 27 and on the Zone Education Leadership Team. Tom was a Plenary Speaker at the 2019 International Assembly.
Tom retired with the rank of Captain after 30 years in the United States Navy, specializing in Special Intelligence and Surface Warfare. He is the President of Tiburon Systems, an information technology firm that manages Washington State’s education network. Tom has held the Project Management Professional certification since 2001, and this year published his first novel, “Colt’s Crisis” on Amazon.
Tom and Laurie enjoy traveling and spending time at their lake cabin. Laurie, a Registered Pharmacist, is a member of the Gateway Rotary Club where she leads the club’s literacy programs and helps with the Zone Education Program supporting GNATS and GETS partners. Tom and Laurie are members of the Paul Harris and Arch Klump Societies.
