Christine "Chris" Daly, District 5220
 
 
Chris joined the El Cerrito Rotary Club in 1990 and transferred in 1992 to the Sonora Sunrise Club. She has served as Assistant District Governor, Club President, Vocational Training Team Chair, Chair of Pre-PETS and the Membership & Foundation Seminar.  District 5220 committee service includes: Grants Committee, Budget and Finance, Cabinet, and District Advisory Committee. Leading a Group Study Exchange Team’s visit to Chennai, India (District 3220) in 2012 was a peak experience which deepened her commitment to peace building through service.  She enjoys coordinating visiting Vocational Training Teams and friendship exchange groups. Travel has been a highlight in Chris’s Rotary service; working on projects in Kenya, Peru, Guatemala, Bolivia, India, Mexico, Siri Lanka and the Philippines. Chris is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
 
Chris’s career has been devoted to supporting adults with intellectual disabilities to live, work and play in their community. She has served as the CEO of, nonprofit, WATCH Resources for 29 years. Community service has always played an integral part in Chris’s life starting as volunteer camp counselor and serving on Community College, Hospital, and Behavioral Health Boards. She lives with two rescued Abyssinian cats in Sonora, California, located in the historic gold country of the Sierra Nevada foothills. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, knitting, cooking, baking and travel.
