Vallee Bio
Chantal Vallee, Sports Psychologist & Transformational Coach

Keynote Speaker, Saturday Lunch General Session

In 2002, after years of research on successful enterprise and leaders, Chantal was hired by the University of Windsor to become the Head Coach of the Lancers Women’s Basketball Team.

At the time, the Windsor Lancers had only four winning seasons in a span of nearly 50 years and the team was in the bottom of the standings in Canada.

Chantal had a dream and a plan and told anyone who would listen that the team would win a national championship within five years!

In 2011, the mission was accomplished. The Lancers Women's Basketball team were crowned National Champions for the first time in history. The Globe and Mail featured Chantal with the title “Coach Takes Windsor from Outhouse to Penthouse.”  The team then went on to win five consecutive National Championships, holding the record for women’s basketball in Canada.

Since the program’s transformation, Chantal has received over 20 Coach of the Year Awards, developed seven professional players and one Olympian, and maintained a winning percentage of over 80%.

This past summer, Chantal was named the first-ever Head Coach and General Manager of the Hamilton Honey Badgers. She is the first woman anywhere in basketball history to be named as both head coach and general manager of a men’s professional team, and only the second woman ever to serve as a head coach of a men’s professional basketball team.

Chantal is in high demand for speaking engagements across Canada and the United States and is a researcher and publish author on the topics of leadership and coaching success.
