Dear 2019-2020 Rotary Club Presidents,
The Far West PETS Committee has been working for nearly a year to produce an event where can you can learn, network and develop the tools that will assist you in having a successful year as your Club’s President.
From start to finish, we hope that you find your PETS experience to be both educational, entertaining and fun.
As Rotarians, we come from many different professions, communities and life experiences[backgrounds]. Our diversity is our strength. The opening ceremony will give you an experience that you will not soon forget. You will have an opportunity to hear and meet some terrific speakers and take away ideas that you can apply in your Club.
You will attend classes that are taught by experienced faculty who understand what it means to be a Club President. They will share proven ‘best practices’ from other Clubs, Districts and Rotary International. These instructors will welcome your comments and questions and will be available after class if you would like to follow up with additional questions.
Far West PETS will present you with a great opportunity to network.  You will meet fellow Rotary leaders who have traveled far and wide doing the great service work that we do as Rotarians. You will share ideas for service projects and creative ways to raise money to fund them.
A dear friend of mine once said “In Rotary we work hard at having fun”. All weekend you will have the opportunity to get know leaders from throughout the Western United States and Hawaii.  I personally have made a number of lifelong friends from my very first PETS experience. My hope is that this will happen for you as well.
We want to welcome you to your Far West PETS.  Our hope is that you come away from your PETS experience with many ideas to share with your Club and feel both equipped and motivated to lead your Club through a memorable, successful and fun year.
Yours to count on,
PDG Jeff Orth (2016-2017)
General Chairman
